  6.          The Microfiche Filer is  actually a  full-powered  database for
  7.          the manipulation of text, numbers and pictures!  The Microfiche
  8.          Filer breaks  new ground  in the  user interface  area by using
  9.          the microfiche metaphor for dealing with your data graphically.

  11.          The document titled MFF_DEMO.doc is a short tutorial on the use
  12.          of The Microfiche Filer.  The intent is to bring you quickly up
  13.          to speed using The Microfiche Filer to peruse  the  database of
  14.          Fish  disks.  Several other databases  are  provided  for  your
  15.          enjoyment and experimentation including  a  database  of Amicus
  16.          disks, an address book, and a simple picture database.

  18.          The  tutorial  is  provided  to  you  in a format suitable  for
  19.          printing directly.  So,  if  you  have  a printer, simply align
  20.          your  paper and copy the  document  directly  to  the  printer.
  21.          (That  will  make  it easier to follow the tutorial while using
  22.          The Microfiche Filer.)

  24.          This demonstration version of The Microfiche Filer  is actually
  25.          a   complete  version,  missing  only  the  file   manipulation
  26.          functions  of the File View (which are  not  necessary  to  the
  27.          functioning of the database) and the SAVE function.  This means
  28.          that you  may fully manipulate databases that have been created
  29.          using version 1.0 of  The  Microfiche  Filer;  but, you may not
  30.          save them back on disk.
